What's New at Mineral World?

Well, the image issue has finally been resolved (huge thank you to the wonderful folks at Islandnet...plug, plug, plug)! So, operating on the better-late-than-never principle, I've inserted all the photos below that should have gone with the blurbs in the first place. In other news, new to Mineral World! We have started carrying a line of beautifully hand-carved buffalo horn objets d'art. For out-of-town visitors, we have a new line of reasonably priced Canadiana designs. Included is statuary, pens, keychains, and much more. Bring your visitors in and get a little piece of Canada while you're here!

Well, Spring Break is well under way and things are buzzing in the Scratch Patch. We're having a bit of a preview of summer around here and the energy is great! Most of the new stock from Tucson is out and on display, including new jewellery, minerals, geodes, fossils and much more. We're having an 'issue' trying to upload new photos onto the web site at the moment, so things are going to be a bit 'wordy' until that's resolved. We're having a serious talk with the computer as soon as Spring Break is over.

The shipment of AMETHYST GEODES we purchased in Tucson arrived at the store today and we spent all day unpacking them. Mineral World has never had so many geodes in the store at one time and they look amazing (if we do say so ourselves)! And this is just the beginning of the new stock. The next few weeks are promising to be quite exciting around here.

We were thrilled to be involved in the 2008 Island Parent Education Fair. We met lots of interesting people and had fun answering questions and talking about our Education Program with interested parents and teachers.

Well, we have just returned from our yearly buying trip to Tucson, Arizona! We have purchased a ton of new things, including some amazing jewellery, mineral specimens, fossils and much more. We will be unloading for the next few weeks and have already brought out lots of the jewellery. Keep an eye on this page to see how the unpacking is going!
